About the Gun

The P365-380 is a micro-compact, striker-fired pistol chambered in .380 ACP. It uses the same modular polymer grip module and fire-control architecture as the 9mm P365, with an optics-ready stainless slide and a short barrel. Standard features include night sights, an accessory rail, and dual 10-round magazines (flush and extended). The Nitron version carries a conventional black finish; the Rainbow version applies a multi-color PVD coating to the slide and controls. Manual-safety and non-safety configurations are offered on the Nitron, while the Rainbow is typically supplied with a manual safety.

SIG introduced the P365-380 to deliver the micro-compact dimensions and capacity of the original P365 in a lower-recoil cartridge. The locked-breech design and lighter slide reduce both felt recoil and slide-racking effort compared with the 9mm version, targeting shooters who prefer milder operation or have limited hand strength. The Rainbow finish follows earlier SIG specialty finishes (notably on the P238) and adds a cosmetic option without changing the core design. By retaining full compatibility with standard P365 holsters, grip modules, and many accessories, the model functions as a direct soft-shooting alternative within the existing P365 ecosystem rather than a separate platform.
