Analysis

The P229 Scorpion combined a tactical Flat Dark Earth finish with the ergonomic improvements of the Elite package on the compact P229 platform. The beavertail, front serrations, aggressive checkering, and short-reset trigger enhanced control and comfort, while the FDE finish provided both a distinctive appearance and improved corrosion resistance. Produced in limited numbers during the early-to-mid 2010s in 9mm and .40 S&W, it offered shooters a more modern tactical option within the P229 lineup before SIG Sauer placed greater emphasis on the Legion series.
