Analysis

The P229 Legion variants represent SIG Sauer’s premium refinement of the compact P229 platform. The Legion gray PVD finish, enhanced ergonomics, upgraded trigger components, and premium G10 grips provide improved durability, corrosion resistance, and handling compared with standard models. The DA/SA versions were produced in 9mm, .40 S&W, and 357 SIG, while the 9mm SAO variant (both non-optics-ready and optics-ready) offered a consistent single-action trigger pull with an ambidextrous thumb safety. The non-optics-ready SAO models were produced earlier in the Legion series, with optics-ready versions introduced later to meet modern red-dot preferences. These models maintain the compact size and reliability of the P229 while providing high-end features.

Pistol looks good and is well balanced. Hardly any muzzle flip. Does not like certain "lower tier" ammo. Overall, a great gun.
