Analysis

The P229 Enhanced Elite combined the compact size and robust milled stainless steel slide of the P229 with the ergonomic and trigger refinements of the Elite series. The addition of the beavertail, front serrations, improved checkering, and short-reset trigger enhanced control and comfort. The slide design shares similarities with the M11-A1, featuring a stepped contour and slab-sided breech block area. Produced in limited numbers during the late 2000s to mid-2010s across 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG, it offered a refined option for users wanting improved handling on the proven compact P229 platform before the introduction of the Legion series.
