The P229 Enhanced Elite is an upgraded compact double-stack model featuring the Elite package that includes a beavertail frame extension, front slide cocking serrations, front-strap checkering on the aluminum alloy frame with black hard-coat anodized finish, and short-reset trigger. It was offered in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG, primarily in black Nitron finish with a slide profile similar to the M11-A1.

Analysis

The P229 Enhanced Elite combined the compact size and robust milled stainless steel slide of the P229 with the ergonomic and trigger refinements of the Elite series.
