The P226 X-Five Skeleton is a rare Custom Shop competition model featuring a skeletonized stainless steel slide with extensive lightening cuts, a 5-inch match-grade bull barrel with stainless steel barrel weight, and full stainless steel frame. It includes fully adjustable target rear sights and black laminate wood grips.

Limited production from 2010 through 2018.

Market value

MSRP at production was around $2,500 – $3,200. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $2,000 – $3,000.

Analysis

The P226 X-Five Skeleton is one of the most specialized and rare variants in the X-Five series, designed for serious competition shooters. The extensively skeletonized slide significantly reduces weight while maintaining structural integrity, and the heavy bull barrel with barrel weight provides excellent stability and recoil control. Produced in very limited numbers by SIG Sauer’s German Mastershop, it was never officially imported to the United States, even during the period when other X-Series pistols were being sold. This makes surviving examples highly sought after by collectors due to their low production numbers and distinctive appearance.
