About the Gun

The P226 X-Five All Around is a versatile competition-oriented full-size double-stack model based on the X-Five platform. It features a 5-inch match-grade bull barrel with stainless steel barrel weight, full stainless steel slide and frame construction, fully adjustable target rear sight with fiber optic front sight, and Hogue rubber grips. It was produced in 9 mm and .40 S&W.

Limited production from 2008 through 2013.

Market value

MSRP at production was around $1,700 – $2,000. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $1,350 – $1,800.

Analysis

The P226 X-Five All Around was designed as a more practical and versatile version of the X-Five series, suitable for a broader range of competition disciplines as well as general target shooting. The heavy 5-inch bull barrel and full stainless steel construction provided excellent stability and recoil control, while the "All Around" designation reflected its balanced performance. Offered in both 9 mm and .40 S&W, these models were produced in limited numbers during the late 2000s to early 2010s as part of SIG Sauer’s Custom Shop program.
