It has a two-tone finish with a stainless or nickel-plated slide on a black hard-coat anodized aluminum alloy frame, wood grips, and was produced with the DAK (Double Action Kellerman) double-action-only trigger system.

Analysis

The P226 SAS applied SIG Sauer’s Anti-Snag treatment to the full-size P226 platform to improve concealability and comfort for plainclothes or concealed carry use. The combination of the two-tone finish, wood grips, and DAK trigger created a distinct configuration that eliminated the decock lever while providing a consistent trigger pull. Produced in limited numbers in .40 S&W, it represents a specialized carry-oriented variant of the P226 during the period when SIG offered multiple trigger and finish options on the platform. On the secondary market it remains a relatively uncommon and collectible model due to its unique dehorned profile and DAK trigger.
