Analysis

The P226 Navy served as SIG Sauer’s earlier commercial offering inspired by pistols used by U.S. Navy SEALs. It was produced for a relatively short period before being replaced in 2011 by the updated P226 MK25. The model provided many of the same features and appearance as military-issue pistols while being available to civilian shooters. It remains a collectible variant for those interested in the historical transition of Naval Special Warfare P226 models. The P226 Navy is noticeably harder to find than the current MK25, which contributes to its collectible appeal on the secondary market.
