Analysis

The P226 Emperor Scorpion variants represent an upgraded evolution of the Scorpion treatment with a distinctive bronze PVD finish and the full Elite ergonomic package. The heavier stainless steel construction on the .40 S&W version helped manage recoil in the more powerful cartridge, while the 9mm version offered lighter weight and higher capacity. Both calibers shared the beavertail, front serrations, improved checkering, and short-reset trigger for enhanced control. Produced as limited Lipsey’s exclusive models in the late 2010s, they provided a premium tactical appearance and refined handling as one of the final special editions of the classic metal-frame P226 platform before SIG Sauer’s primary focus shifted to the Legion series.
