Analysis

The P220 Match Elite variants extended the Elite refinements to a long-slide platform focused on improved accuracy and muzzle velocity, particularly in the 10mm Auto chambering that benefited from the heavier stainless construction for recoil management. The additional barrel length increased sight radius and added forward weight that aided stability during aimed fire, while the short-reset trigger and beavertail supported faster follow-up shots. The all-stainless .45 ACP version emphasized traditional appearance and balance, while the reverse two-tone 10mm focused on corrosion resistance on the slide. These models represent the platform’s evolution toward higher-caliber precision options within the metal-frame lineup.
