Analysis

The P220 Legion Carry SAO delivered the premium Legion upgrades in a more compact package by shortening the slide and barrel while retaining the full-size grip and 8-round magazine capacity. This configuration provided improved concealability and faster draw compared with full-size Legion models while preserving the enhanced ergonomics, trigger quality, and durability of the Legion treatment. It was produced as a limited edition in 2020 and marked the first time a carry-size .45 ACP entered the Legion series. The stainless steel slide and Legion gray PVD finish offered corrosion resistance and a distinctive appearance, making it a specialized option for users wanting Legion features in a more compact metal-frame DA/SA platform before SIG focused primarily on full-size Legion and current Elite models.
