About the Gun

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1911 platform, SIG Sauer introduced a series of Traditional models distinguished by a classic round-top, flat-sided slide profile rather than the company’s more common P-series-style slide contour. These full-size and compact single-action pistols feature front cocking serrations, a match-grade barrel, flat mainspring housing, and a speed-bump grip safety. The Traditional series was offered primarily in stainless or reverse two-tone finishes with wood or synthetic grips, providing a more conventional 1911 appearance while retaining SIG’s external extractor and stainless construction.
