About the Gun

The 1911-22 is a full-size, blowback-operated single-action pistol chambered in .22 LR, manufactured by GSG and marketed under the SIG Sauer name. Built to approximate the dimensions and controls of a standard Government-model 1911, it features an aluminum-alloy or polymer frame with a zinc-alloy slide, low-profile three-dot sights, a working grip safety, and an ambidextrous thumb safety. Grips are typically wood or synthetic. It was offered in multiple finish variants, commonly including Nitron/black, stainless, two-tone, and limited colors such as OD green.

Analysis
