About the Gun

The Bersa Thunder 9 Pro XT is a full-size alloy-frame DA/SA locked-breech competition pistol in 9 mm. It uses an external hammer, an ambidextrous frame-mounted safety/decock lever, polymer grips, a fiber-optic front sight, an adjustable target rear sight, and a Picatinny accessory rail. It has a double-stack high-capacity magazine design and a longer competition barrel.

Analysis

The Thunder 9 Pro XT is the competition-oriented version of Bersa’s Thunder Pro / TPR duty platform. It extends the full-size alloy-frame DA/SA locked-breech design with a longer barrel, fiber-optic front sight, and adjustable target rear sight for practical competition use. It retains the Picatinny rail, ambidextrous controls, loaded-chamber indicator, and high-capacity double-stack magazine of the Pro series while adding the longer slide and target sights. The model was offered in matte and reverse duo-tone finishes. It sits alongside the standard TPR9 as the longer-barreled competition variant in the current Thunder Pro Redesigned line. The Thunder 9 Pro XT remains in production.
