Analysis

The Thunder 380 Plus is the double-stack version of the Thunder 380 that Bersa introduced in the early 2000s. It retains the alloy-frame DA/SA blowback layout, slide-mounted decocker, and fixed sights of the standard model while using a wider frame and grip to hold a 15-round double-stack magazine. The Plus was intended to give buyers higher capacity without moving to a larger locked-breech pistol. It remains listed on Bersa’s U.S. site as the high-capacity option in the Thunder 380 series. Later Combat Plus and TPR 380 Plus models followed with different finishes and grip treatments. The Thunder 380 Plus continues in production as the double-stack companion to the standard Thunder 380.
