Analysis

The Thunder 22-6 is the extended-barrel version of the Thunder 22, introduced with the Thunder series in the mid-1990s. It retains the alloy-frame DA/SA blowback layout, slide-mounted decocker, and polymer grips of the standard model while lengthening the barrel for target and sporting use. The longer sight radius and higher velocity from the extended barrel make it the preferred Thunder 22 variant for informal competition and longer-range plinking. It remains listed on Bersa’s Argentine site as a sporting model alongside the standard Thunder 22. The Thunder 22-6 continues in production as the long-barrel option in the compact alloy-frame Thunder rimfire line.
