Analysis

The BP40CC is the .40 S&W version of the BPCC polymer series that began with the BP9CC. It uses the same thin polymer frame, striker-fired action, and accessory rail as the 9 mm and .380 Auto models rather than a scaled design. It was announced for the U.S. market in late 2014 alongside the BP380CC. Sales in that market were limited compared with the 9 mm and .380 Auto versions, and U.S. distribution appears to have ended after a short run while the other BPCC calibers continued. The model remained listed on Bersa’s Argentine site for a time after U.S. availability faded. It served as the higher-powered option in the single-stack polymer BPCC line.
