Analysis

Beretta added the Laramie in 2005, after the Stampede, as the top-break gun in the same western program. It was built in the Uberti plant and sold under the Beretta name. The lock is a modern transfer-bar single action, not a period Schofield, and the cylinder was made for .45 Colt and .38 Special rather than the original .45 Schofield. The run was short. Date-coded guns cluster in 2005 and 2006, and the model was gone by 2008. Used guns trade on finish and whether the walnut panels and medallions are still with it. The Uberti-marked Schofield is a separate model.
