About the Gun

Full-size single-action locked-breech pistol with an open-top steel slide and a steel frame. Crossbolt safety. Black plastic grips with Tariq ibn Ziyad medallions. Blade front sight and a V-notch rear. Arabic slide markings.

Analysis

Al-Qadissiya built the Tariq in Iraq as a licensed 1951. Issue went to Iraqi forces and the Republican Guard. The grips carry medallions of Tariq ibn Ziyad. The first run is generally dated from 1981 through 2003, with assembly reported again after 2009. U.S. examples are mostly bring-backs. Finish and fit vary widely by lot.
