About the Gun

Full-size polymer-frame, hammer-fired duty pistol with a double-stack magazine, interchangeable backstraps, and an integral accessory rail. The locked-breech rotating barrel comes from the 8000 Cougar; the removable trigger pack follows the 92-series F, G, C, and D options. Bruniton-coated steel slide over a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame. Built as a personal-defense and law-enforcement sidearm.

MSRP at production was around $700. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $450–$600.

Analysis

Beretta added an Inox slide to the full-size PX4 Storm in 2011, after seven years of black Bruniton-only guns. U.S. coverage that June listed Type F pistols in 9 mm and .40 S&W at the same list as the black gun. The slide is bead-blasted to a satin, non-reflective stainless rather than a polish. Internals, lockwork, and frame stay the standard full-size Storm. Blue Book treats U.S. manufacture as 2012 through 2019. Inox full-size guns were never the volume SKU; they appear less often than black Storms and usually bring a small premium for the two-tone slide. Factory Type F was the Inox configuration. Used examples trade in the same neighborhood as a clean black full-size gun, sometimes a little higher when the slide is unpitted.
