Analysis

Beretta announced the Compact Carry in 2016 with Ernest Langdon and began shipping it in 2017 as a factory carry package built from existing Compact parts. The Compact of 2010 already used the full-size rotating barrel and a removable 92-style trigger pack; this model kept that lockwork and set it up as Type G only. Low-profile G decockers replaced the standard F/G levers, the right-side slide stop was deleted and plugged, the magazine release shipped with three button sizes, and the slide received a Sniper Gray Cerakote finish. Internals used Beretta’s plated competition hammer group. AmeriGlo sights and a Talon wrap finished the box, which also held three 15-round magazines instead of two. The gun stayed a limited commercial SKU next to the regular Compact F and G. Langdon Tactical continued to sell further trigger work and options on the same platform, so used examples mix factory JXC9GEL guns with later shop-built Compacts. Beretta replaced the package in 2024 with Compact Carry 2. Original Carry pistols remain the gray-slide, tritium-sight, spurred-hammer guns from the 2017–2023 window and trade above a plain Compact when the factory package is intact.
