Full-size polymer-frame striker-fired pistol with a removable serialized chassis, interchangeable backstraps, and a rail. Aggressive slide serrations, reversible magazine release, and ambidextrous slide stops.

Analysis

Beretta built the APX as its first full-size striker pistol and as its entry in the U.S. Army Modular Handgun System trials. The civilian full-size gun reached dealers in 2017. A removable chassis lets the grip module come off the serialized fire-control unit. Blue Book closes the original full-size variant after 2021 and drops .40 S&W a year earlier. The later APX A1 line replaced this gun on the U.S. commercial list. Used boxed examples with extra backstraps sit at the top of the value range.
