Analysis

Beretta launched the APX in 2015–2017 as a modular polymer striker pistol for the U.S. MHS trials and then the commercial market. The A1 refresh added an optic-cut slide, a revised trigger and striker spring, and a fiber-optic front sight. The Compact arrived in mid-2023 between A1 Full Size and A1 Carry: 3.7-inch barrel and a 15-round grip on the same removable chassis as the rest of the A1 line. It occupies the envelope of the earlier APX Centurion with the A1 updates. Compact Tactical is the threaded, suppressor-sight companion.
