Analysis

Beretta introduced the 96A1 with the 92A1 at SHOT 2010 as the current-pattern .40 S&W duty 96. Factory codes include J9A4F10. The rounded guard, rail, captive spring, and buffer came over from the 90-Two work that preceded it. The gun remains on Beretta’s 2026 list. Used boxed examples with three magazines sit at the top of the range.
