Analysis

Beretta announced the Squalo in December 2023, the same week as the Tactical, as the match pack of the new 92XI SAO. The base XI had already moved the safety to the frame and replaced the double-action first shot with a flat trigger. The Squalo keeps the 4.7 in barrel and adds a Toni magwell, an extended takedown lever, shark-texture grips, and three magazines with +4 pads sized to fit match rules. It does not ship with a compensator. That is the split from the later Race pair, which mounts a single-port compensator, and from the Tactical, which is the threaded suppressor gun without a magwell. Used Squalo pistols trade as match guns. A complete set with the magwell and all three extended magazines holds the top of the value range. A gun missing the magwell or the pads drops toward the bottom.
