Analysis

Beretta announced the 92X family at SHOT and the 2019 NRA meetings as a Vertec-frame refresh of the 90 series. The Centurion puts the shorter slide and barrel on the full-length 92X grip so magazine capacity stays with the full-size gun. Factory codes include J92QR921. The package added checkering on the frontstrap and backstrap, an extended magazine release, a skeletonized hammer, and two grip styles in the box. The slide lever can be set as an F safety/decocker or as a G decocker. Blue Book treated U.S. production as closed after 2021; the model remains on Beretta’s current 92X list beside the full-size and Compact guns. Used examples with both grip sets and three magazines sit at the top of the range.
