About the Gun

Full-size aluminum alloy frame DA/SA 92-series pistol with a double-stack magazine, Vertec straight backstrap, beavertail, and an integral rail. Open-slide falling-block lockup. Frame-mounted ambidextrous Type G ambi decock lever with twin-sear lockwork; the lever springs back to fire after dropping the hammer to half-cock. Black Cerakote optic-ready slide, fiber-optic front sight with a black serrated rear, X-Treme S trigger, Picatinny rail and a skeletonized hammer.

MSRP is around $1,199. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $850–$1,050.

Analysis

Beretta introduced the 92GTS in 2024 as the DA/SA companion to the 2023 92XI. Both sit on the slimmer Vertec 92X-generation frame with a frame-mounted thumb lever and an optic-cut slide. GTS is Type G: the lever is a spring-return decocker only. Twin-sear lockwork drops the hammer to half-cock instead of the older G slide-lever rest. X-Treme S internals and a skeletonized hammer came with the package. The line reused the 92X Full Size envelope and magazines. A walnut Launch Edition ran at introduction as a separate SKU. Factory Standard guns are still the current full-size GTS. Used examples are mostly lightly carried pistols and sit above a plain 92X in value when the optic plate and extra magazine are present.
