Analysis

Beretta added the Centurion when the 92GTS line launched in 2024. GTS is the DA/SA companion to the 2023 92XI: slimmer Vertec 92X-generation frame, frame-mounted thumb lever, and an optic-cut slide. Type G lockwork is a spring-return decocker only. Twin-sear geometry drops the hammer to half-cock instead of the older G slide-lever rest. X-Treme S internals and a skeletonized hammer came with the package. Centurion is the short-slide gun in that line: a 4.25-inch slide on the full-height Vertec grip, the same mix Beretta has used since the 1990s 92FS Centurion. It takes the same magazines as 92GTS Full Size. Used examples are still mostly lightly carried pistols and have a similar value as a clean 92X Centurion when the optic plate is present.
