Analysis

Beretta added an Inox Compact L during the second U.S. catalog window for the short 92FS. Factory code J92F550 listed the stainless slide and barrel over the same shortened alloy frame used on the Bruniton Compact, with the same 13-round double-column magazine. Accokeek-built guns carry BER serials and “92FS COMPACT-L” slide markings; Italian-marked examples also exist. The 2003 catalog priced it a step above the black Compact. That rail-less Inox left the line with the rest of the Compact L block after 2003, so the used supply is thinner than a full-size 92FS Inox. Clean pistols with original magazines bring a consistent premium over the Bruniton Compact of the same years.
