Analysis

Beretta revived the Cheetah in 2023 as the 80X: Vertec alloy frame, optic-cut slide, rail, and X-treme S lockwork on the old 84-pattern blowback. The first guns used a 3.9-inch barrel and a 13-round magazine. The Tactical followed in 2025. The change is the 4.4-inch 1/2-28 barrel and 15-round .380 Auto magazines. Fixed-barrel blowback does not need a booster on a suppressor, which is why the longer threaded tube is the point of the model. Urban and Desert are finish SKUs of that gun. A factory compensator pack ran later as a separate Launch item. The .32 Auto Tactical arrived in 2026 on the same threaded envelope with 12-round magazines. It is the small-bore companion to the .380 Auto Tactical, not a return of the old 81. Used value follows finish and whether both extended magazines remain with the box.
