About the Gun

Compact rotating-barrel pistol with an alloy frame and a short steel slide. The Mini keeps the 8045F’s DA/SA lockwork, exposed hammer, and ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decock lever, but the grip frame is shortened. Standard-capacity .45 Auto magazine. Checkered plastic grips and fixed three-dot sights. Finish is matte black Bruniton.

Analysis

Beretta added the Mini 8045 shortly after the full-size .45 Auto Cougar. Slide and rotating barrel stay in the 8045 pattern; the frame is chopped for a smaller hand and a shorter butt. Blue Book starts U.S. importation in 1999 and ends F Mini production in 2003. Used Minis are scarce next to 9 mm Cougars. Boxed Italian-marked examples with the original short magazines sit at the top of the range.
