About the Gun

Compact double-stack rotating-barrel pistol with an alloy frame and a short stainless slide and barrel. The 8040F Inox is DA/SA: exposed hammer and ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker. The frame is finished to match the stainless upper. Checkered plastic grips and fixed three-dot sights. The barrel is hard-chromed.

Analysis

Beretta added a stainless 8040F at the end of Italian Cougar production. Blue Book treats it as a 2004-only run of the standard .40 S&W F gun. The rotating-barrel lockwork and slide safety/decock lever follow the black 8040F. Because so few were built, clean stainless examples with original magazines bring a premium over Bruniton 8040F pistols.
