Analysis

The Model 75 was introduced in 1958 with the 70 series as the long-barrel-only companion to the Model 72. It uses the short frame of the 71, not the taller frame of the 73 and 74. Sights are fixed. The 73 and 74 carry the longer magazine and, on the 74, an adjustable rear sight. Early production has a crossbolt safety. Around 1970 the series changed to a frame-mounted lever. The line ended in 1985. A 75 is a single long barrel on the short frame. A 72 is the same frame supplied with both barrels. Magazines and the plastic panels are the usual missing pieces.
