About the Gun

Tiny double-action/single-action blowback pocket pistol with an alloy frame, a carbon-steel slide, and Beretta’s lever-released tip-up barrel. Finish is matte black with checkered plastic grips. The sights are the point of the variant: a tritium front blade dovetailed into the barrel and an express-style rear sight dovetailed to the slide. An exposed hammer, a left-side frame safety, and a magazine release set into the left grip follow the standard 3032 layout.

Production ran from 2002 through the late 2000s.

Market value

MSRP at production was around $500. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $350–$450.

Analysis

Beretta introduced the tritium Tomcat in 2002 on the matte-black 3032. Factory literature also called it the Alley Cat. The usual Tomcat front sight is a tiny blade machined on the barrel that disappears in low light; this gun used a dovetailed tritium front and an XS-style Big Dot express rear so the pocket pistol could be indexed in the dark. The rest of the pistol is the alloy-frame .32 Auto Tomcat, including the integral trigger guard and the same rail-crack history as the other early 3032s. The sighted variant left the catalog in the late 2000s, ahead of the later Covert and 30X guns. Those models, plus Inox, Stainless, and Titanium, are separate. Used Alley Cats are scarce.
