About the Gun

Tiny double-action/single-action blowback pocket pistol with an alloy frame and Beretta’s lever-released tip-up barrel. The slide and barrel are stainless; the frame stays matte black, so the gun reads as two-tone. The stainless slide is the thicker Inox-width piece. Checkered black plastic grips, a left-side frame safety, and a magazine release set into the left grip follow the 3032 layout. The trigger guard is forged as part of the frame. Sights are a small fixed blade and a notch milled in the slide.

Production ran from 2000 through 2013.

Market value

MSRP at production was around $450. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $300–$400.

Analysis

Beretta cataloged this two-tone Tomcat after the late-1999 Inox slide. It uses that heavier stainless slide and barrel on a matte black alloy frame instead of the gray-anodized Inox frame. Weight matches the Inox gun. The extra slide mass was the factory answer to alloy-frame rail cracks on early blued 3032s. Production of this two-tone configuration followed the standard Tomcat into the early 2010s. The matching-gray Inox Tomcat, the all-black 3032, titanium, tritium-sight, Covert, and 30X pistols are separate models. Used two-tone guns are less common than black or full Inox examples and sit in the same value band when the stainless parts are clean.
