About the Gun

Tiny double-action/single-action blowback pocket pistol with an alloy frame and Beretta’s lever-released tip-up barrel. The slide and barrel are stainless and the slide is thicker than the blued Tomcat. The frame is gray-anodized to match; small parts stay black. Checkered plastic grips, a left-side frame safety, and a magazine release set into the left grip follow the 3032 layout. The trigger guard is forged as part of the frame. Sights are a small fixed blade and a notch milled in the slide.

Analysis

Beretta added the Inox Tomcat in late 1999. The wider stainless slide was meant to add mass and slow the slide on the alloy frame after early 3032s showed rail cracks with .32 Auto. A longer safety lever came in at the same time and required a relieved left grip. The 2001 titanium Tomcat used this slide on a titanium frame. Regular 3032 production paused in the mid-2010s and returned with Covert threaded guns; those, the black 3032, the titanium and tritium variants, and the 30X are separate models. The heavier slide delayed cracking; it did not end it, which is why the 30X received a stronger frame. Used Inox pistols trade a little above tired blued guns when the stainless parts are clean. Street prices sit under current list.

Purchased Inox model and shot 200+ rounds in one session. 60g and 71g PMC 32acp ammo. Flawless operation. DA trigger is a bit heavy but not too long. SA trigger is excellent. Two finger grip is adequate for this pocket pistol. Recoil is mild. Had to purchase a second magazine separately. Have to remember to flip barrel up after firing...slide does not lock open on empty magazine. Relatively easy to take down and clean. Worst feature is the sights. Going to apply white fingernail polish to front sight. But point shoot accuracy is very good out to 7 yards. Quality design. Love it so far. Planning on purchasing a pocket holster next week.
