Analysis

Auto-Ordnance introduced this pistol in April 2014 as a Cabela’s exclusive built on the 1911PKZ platform. The SKU 1911PKZCABHO paired a high-temperature ceramic Cerakote orange frame with a black slide and black controls, checkered rubber Thompson-medallion grips on hex screws, and two magazines. It was sold only through that retailer while supplies lasted and was not added to the regular catalog. Used examples turn up irregularly and bring a modest color premium over a plain GI-pattern Auto-Ordnance 1911, not a separate collector market.
