About the Gun

The Armscor-RIA 1911 Tactical FS is a full-size, single-action 1911-style pistol on a parkerized steel Government frame. It has smooth walnut grips, snag-free Novak-style sights, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and a skeletonized trigger. It is a heavy, duty-oriented 1911 rather than a GI-sight service pistol.

Analysis

The 9 mm Tactical FS is the same early RIA tactical Government pistol as the .45, with Novak-style sights, ambidextrous safety, and walnut grips. It was listed from 2011 and then discontinued. Later 9 mm duty 1911s in the RIA line moved to TAC Ultra and high-capacity A2 frames.
