About the Gun

The Armscor-RIA 1911 GI Standard is a full-size, single-action 1911-style pistol built on a Series 70 pattern. Frame and slide are 4140 steel. It has GI-style combat sights, a conventional spur hammer, and smooth wood or walnut grips. Finishes include parkerized and polished nickel. It is a heavy, single-stack Government-size service pistol.

Analysis

RIA added a full-size GI Standard in 9 mm to the same Series 70 GI family. Construction matches the .45 FS gun: parkerized 4140 steel, GI combat sights, and wood grips. It remains in current RIA lists alongside the .45 and .38 Super GI pistols, at similar street prices.
