Analysis

A2 was Armscor's first widened-frame Government pistol, using the Hi-Cap name for a double-column .45 magazine on an otherwise GI-sighted 1911. Later double-stack work moved into the 2011 Tactical and TAC Ultra FS HC catalogs. Used early A2 guns sit above plain single-stack GI Standards of the same period because of the wider grip, not because of match parts.
