About the Gun

The Arminius HW 9 Sport is a large, double-action/single-action target revolver with a solid steel frame and a swing-out cylinder. It has a long weighted barrel, a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight, a blued finish, and match wood grips. It is a heavy .22 LR sport revolver rather than a field gun.

Analysis

The HW 9 Sport is the weighted-barrel match version of the 1970 HW 9. Factory tables from the early 1990s list it beside Target Trophy Match guns. Hermann Weihrauch still catalogs HW 9 match revolvers. U.S. examples are uncommon imports; European new list is well above typical American used prices.
