The Arminius HW 357 Target Trophy Combat is a medium-frame, double-action/single-action revolver with a solid steel frame and a six-shot swing-out cylinder. It has a long barrel, a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight, and wood or match wood grips. Finishes are blued or nickel. It is a heavier target-oriented .357 Magnum rather than a snub or hunting configuration.

Analysis

Weihrauch introduced the HW 357 in 1977 as an all-steel six-shot .357 Magnum on the Arminius pattern. F.I.E. imported it as the Titan Tiger; after F.I.E. closed, European American Armory continued U.S. import. Factory names include Hunter and Target Trophy Combat for short-barrel and long-barrel target guns. Hermann Weihrauch Revolver GmbH still catalogs the HW 357 in Germany. American used guns are mostly older F.I.E. and EAA imports.
