About the Gun

The AF1911-E is a full-size, single-stack 1911-style pistol. Frame and slide are stainless steel with a matte black DLC finish. It uses a bull barrel, a railed dust cover, an ambidextrous thumb safety, an extended beavertail, and G10 grips. Sights are Novak-pattern three-dot.

Analysis

Alpha Foxtrot used the Enhanced name for its early railed Government 1911 in 9 mm, sold from the Duluth shop while the company was still better known as an OEM parts maker. The current catalog row is the matte-DLC, Novak-sighted 5 in gun with a 10-round magazine. The later 70 Series absorbed most of the size and optic-cut matrix and left this model as the plain Enhanced Government.
