About the Gun

The AF1911 70 Series is a stainless, single-stack 1911-style pistol in compact through Government sizes. It uses Series 70 lockwork with no firing-pin block, a bull barrel in plain or threaded form, a railed dust cover, ambidextrous thumb safety, extended beavertail, and G10 grips. Frame and slide are DLC-coated. Iron-sight variants carry Novak-pattern three-dot sights; later variants add an optic cut with co-witness Novak sights.

Analysis

Alpha Foxtrot introduced the AF1911 70 Series as the current Series 70 version of its forged stainless 1911 line from the Duluth, Georgia plant. The parent shop had spent years as an OEM 1911-parts maker before selling complete branded pistols; an earlier AF1911 with QPQ finish and Magpul grips was already on the market by 2019. The 70 Series name separates these DLC guns from the companion QPQ 80 Series, which uses a firing-pin block. Construction moved from earlier cast frames and 4140 slides to forged 416 stainless on current production. No service or agency contract is recorded. Volume is modest next to the larger Turkish and Philippine 1911 makers, so used examples appear irregularly and often trade below list.
