About the Gun

The HP Safety Fast Shooting (SFS) pistol is a development of the famous Hi-Power pistol. The pistol's novel mechanism allows the user to chamber a round and fire it in single-action mode rather than the more deliberate double-action trigger pull. When loaded, the user pushes the hammer forwards automatically activating three safeties which block the trigger, lock the slide and maintain the hammer in the forward 'fast shooting' position. All safeties are deactivated at the same time and the hammer is automatically recocked when the ambidextrous ergonomic safety lever is lowered. The trigger remains light and precise, while the first shot is immediate.

About the Cartridge

This cartridge was introduced along with the Luger semi-automatic pistol. The pistol and cartridge was first adopted by the German Navy in 1904 and then by the German Army in 1908. This cartridge has since been adopted by the military of practically every non-Communist power. It has become the most popular and widely-used handgun cartridge in the world. Performance wise, the 9 mm cartridge has somewhat more power than the .38 Special but falls well short of the .357 Magnum.
